A Surprise Wedding at Chambar Restaurant Vancouver // Steph + Sean

In the Summer I was lucky enough to be able to shoot my second surprise wedding, for an amazing couple, Sean and Steph.  These two had been planning a secret wedding (while secretly engaged!) for a year!  Wanting a non-traditional wedding was something they both agreed on from the start.  It was important to them for their wedding to be a celebration of the most important thing, their love for each other.  

The day couldn't have gone better!  The weather was spectacular, and we ventured into Stanley Park for their first look.  It wouldn't be Vancouver without being photobombed on the seawall right?  The moment back at the Fairmont when Sean and Steph revealed their plans to Steph's parents was among my favourite of the day, they were completely shocked and it got wonderfully emotional and teary.  The rooftop patio at Chambar was a beautiful spot to catch the sunset for the ceremony and there was not a dry eye as Sean and Steph said their I-Dos!

The party kept going into the night, as the DJ played Sean and Steph's favourite music and guests sipped yummy cocktails.  The speeches were heartfelt and the dance moves were epic.  This was one of my favourite weddings of the year, I'm so stoked I was there to capture all the surprised faces and the happy tears as these two revealed their year long secret!
